In Honor of Officer Brian Shaw

Mogie's is proud to sponsor in conjunction with the Officer Brian Shaw Foundation, New Kensington Police Department, and many other community contributors, the Officer Brian Shaw Ride that will take place this year on 8/19/23, starting at 8:30 AM. On July 22nd, 2023, Mogie's will be having a memorial event in Officer Shaw's honor.  

ABOUT OFFICER SHAW

On the evening hours of 11/17/17 Brian was on patrol as a full time officer for the New Kensington Police Department.  At approximately 8:00 pm Brian attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle.  After a short vehicle pursuit, the passenger fled from the vehicle, a foot pursuit ensued. The passenger opened fire on Brian after fleeing from the vehicle, fatally wounding him.  

Brian was known for his compassion, selflessness, integrity, and dedication.  His smile would light up a room and his positive outlook on life would turn a bad day into a good one.
